Kate Hanna
Paralegal
Kate Hanna is proud to be part of the Ford Family Law Team, where she brings a deep commitment to client care and a passion for the legal profession. A graduate of California State University’s paralegal program with a perfect 4.0 GPA, Kate was awarded an academic scholarship from the San Francisco Paralegal Association in recognition of her exceptional writing skills.
Before earning her paralegal certificate, Kate graduated magna cum laude from New York University in 2004, double majoring in Pre-Law and Sociology. Her career path has been anything but ordinary—she’s worked in web design, IT support, and adult education, each experience adding a unique layer to her skill set before she returned to her true calling in law.
Kate’s legal experience spans both employment and family law. She previously supported high-impact class-action cases in employment law, helping secure substantial restitution for affected individuals. Since transitioning to family law in 2020, Kate has found her work especially meaningful, particularly the opportunity to support clients through some of life’s most difficult transitions with empathy and clarity.
Outside the office, Kate is either cheering from the sidelines at her daughter’s soccer games or hiking with her dog, Bagel.
